I went through a scare of my own over from an incident in June '03. Got tested 3 seperate times (last time after 7 months, 1st time after 9 weeks) after having heterosexual vaginal sex with a girl. My doctor kept assuring me that the chance of me contarcting HIV was so minimal that he wasn't even worried but that to calm my neuroses, he'd test me. He said the only cases he ever has seen (NYC) have been with gay men and drug users. He's never seen a case with a hetero male or female with HIV. I blame my outrageous fears on the media and the bombardment of advertising I come across almost daily to scare me into almost wasting 8 months of my life.
