HEAL San Diego will mark the 20th anniversary of the announcement at a press conference by discredited researcher Robert Gallo and HHS Secretary Margaret Heckler that HIV is the probable cause of AIDS.
They will we do this by announcing a press conference of their own, entitled, an 'HIV Unfounded Celebration'.
Speakers will include Christine Maggiore, author of 'What if Everything You Thought You Knew About AIDS Was Wrong?'; Jon Rappaport, author of 'AIDS, Inc, the Scandal of the Century'; and Mark Conlan, publisher of Zengers Newsmagazine and co-founder of HEAL San Diego.
HEAL's annual 'Sister Kenny Award', meant to acknowledge pioneering health advocates, will be presented that evening to representatives of ACT-UP San Francisco who will be honored along with their recently passed colleague David Pasquarelli.
The event will take place on Friday, April 30 at 7 p.m. at the Joyce Beers Community Center, located in Hillcrest at the end of Vermont Street, just north of University Avenue.
